Helford River Sailing Club is a friendly, relaxed and busy club for individuals and families who love all aspects of the water from sailing and paddle-boarding to kayaking and wild swimming. Founded in 1948, we are located on the south bank of the Helford River in some of the best sailing waters in England with shore facilities and pontoons.

Members and visitors using the Clubhouse will be met with a warm welcome from Club Steward Ollie and our friendly team. A varied menu is available from our new Chef Ciaran and the bar is stocked with a large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There are laundry facilities with washing machine and tumble dryer, and showers to freshen up after a day’s sailing.

You’ll find Elise and Louise in our office who will help you with anything you need. You can find the office opening times at the bottom of the page.

We also have a brilliant cleaning team, Joanna and Aimee work so hard to keep our clubhouse looking spotless. It’s not easy with the Cornish weather!

New members are always welcome. Please visit our membership page for details. Holiday Membership forms are also available from the bar and office.

    NEWS FROM THE KITCHEN

We are delighted to welcome our new Chef Ciaran to Helford River Sailing Club.

Ciaran is from Cork in Ireland and is passionate about his cooking. His delicious food comes with an amazing Irish Twist.

Please come along and welcome Ciaran and sample his delicious  food.

    NEWS FROM THE BAR

Ollie is a fantastic team player who really cares about the club. That being said he couldn’t do it without his fantastic staff. Emily, Lauren, Jenna, Fin, Nancy and Daisy.

We are so grateful to Ollie for all his help in the kitchen recently. He has excelled himself with his delicious Sunday roasts and catering for our sketch club evenings on a Tuesday.  Everyone has really enjoyed his cooking and are really appreciative for all the extra time and effort that he has put in to keep our kitchen up and running for the members!

Ollie and his bar staff can always be relied on to give our members a warm welcome. He has an amazing ability to remember everyone’s tipple and always keeps his beer lines scrupulously clean.

Many thanks to Ollie and Ciaran and their teams for all their hard work over the last few months.
